What information does the weather station gather?

What’s the difference between a weather station and a forecasting model for weather?

Weather Stations That Are Official

ATIS stands for Automated Terminal Information Service, and it requires a human in the airport tower to manage the system. ASOS data has ATIS reports attached to it. They are human-written and explain the meteorological conditions. They’re usually released at 55 minutes past the hour, and more frequently if the situation warrants it.

ASOS

Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS) is an acronym for Automated Surface Observing System. The Department of Defense, the National Weather Service, and the Federal Aviation Administration are in charge of its operation. The Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) is used by the majority of FAA airports, but it is essentially the same system.
